Tasting Notes:
The 2020 Bacigalupi Chardonnay has a sneaky depth of flavor and character with a sleeker quality than other vintages, as a result of being picked about a week earlier than usual. There is vibrant acidity and a persistent minerality that captures the beauty of its origin. Fresh aromatics of citrus and pomelo evolve into pear and honeydew melon as the wine opens up. Like the seas beneath the cliffs of the Amalfi coast, flavors are sharp, deep and mineral driven. Stone fruits are layered between waves of lemon custard and lemon preserves with a hint of salinity. There is magic on the finish with an element of sweet surprise like a “bonbon acidule.” Winemakers Notes
